St Andrew’s Choir
St Andrew’s Church Choir is a mixed-voice (SATB) choir consisting of approximately a dozen members. It is led by Ray Maulkin (St Andrew’s Director of Music) who is an experienced professional musician and choirmaster. The choir leads the singing each Sunday morning at the 11.00am service, and at weddings and Services of Thanksgiving throughout the year, and reflects the variety of worship within the Church of England. You can learn more about the choir here.
Would you like to join the choir?
New members are always welcome, and although reading music is an advantage, it is not a necessity. The choir practices each Friday evening from 6.00pm-7.00pm, and sings in all sorts of musical styles with a wider repertoire than many such choirs. There is a striving for excellence, but this never supercedes the focus on fun and creative music-making.
If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact Ray Maulkin 01273 478 656 or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange to come along to a choir practice and see how you find it.
